A short lyrical poem to portray a fictional tombstone epitaph for anyone for whom life has been mysterious, disappointing and filled with irony. And yet! Fused with hope for one's eternal salvation and destiny where all earthly questions may be answered and/or rendered irrelevant. Once and for all, finally and at last.

Intended to be seen as both satirical and humorous and not to be taken, too or at all, seriously by the reader. As life should be, itself and at most times, while we are passing through it.

The attitude hoped to be conveyed: "Que Sera, Sera" and "Don't Worry! Be Happy!". Recognizing this is not always possible for everyone, much of the time. Hopefully, this poem, for anyone reading or hearing it, will cause the pressure and pain of daily living to be eased for them.

EPITAPH 1 (In This Small Life)

By E. J. T. BRADLEY

In This Small Life,

Spent Much Alone.

Not Calm, But Strife.

To Most, Is Known.

Cannot Explain,

What Happened Here.

At Journey’s End.

Can Peace Be Near?

Quite Often Heard,

When One Does ‘st’itch.

And Fine’ly Now.

Has Found A Niche!
