A short lyrical poem intended for young parents to read to their young children. Emphasis on both rhyming and rhythm. The idea: the repeated recitation to a child, over a period of time, will encourage the child to "bond" with both of their parents, family members (such as an older sibling, grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, etc.) or friend with a wholesome and moral interest in the child.

FRIENDS IN CLOSE HARMONY

By E. J. T. BRADLEY

When We Make Music Together.

We’re Made For Each Other.

We’ve Found We Can Be.

Friends In Close Harmony.

Now And Then, A Sour Note Is Sung.

Sour Notes! Soon Forgotten.

We Have Found, You See.

Friends Stay In Harmony.

Never Argue. Nor Do We Shout.

We Always Work It Out.

This Way, We Can Be.

Friends In Close Harmony.

Before The Sun Sets, Let Me Say.

"It Can’t Be, ‘nother Way."

Friends We’ll Ever Be.

For We’re In Harmony.

We Have Discovered We Can Be.

For We Have Found, You See.

Forever! We’ll Be.

Friends In Close Harmony.

The Very Best Of Friends.

Friends In Close Harmony.
