OLD ROCKHARD CITY

By E. J. T. BRADLEY

1. When With The Task-Force, My State Car Would Travel

Down South By The River, Where Traffic Was Thick..

To A Backwards Old Town, Called Old Rockhard City

So Many Times, I’d Always Get Sick.

Don’t Send Me Again To Old Rockhard City.

Down South By The River and East Just-A-Ways.

"Sorry My Son!, But You’re Late In Arriving",

"All Project Workers Have Now Gone Away".

2. Sometimes We’d TravelAlong TheRiver

To Meet Fed’ral Agents Whose Money We Took.

In Old Rockhard City, We’d Audit State Payments,

Too Many Times, To Find Just One Crook.

Don’t Send Us Again To Old Rockhard City.

Down South By The River and East Just-A-Ways.

"Sorry My Hon!, But You’re Late In Arriving",

"All Project Workers Have Now Gone Away".

3. Old Rockhard City Gave Us The "Business",

Tortured The Workers So No Work Was Done.

When We Go There, We’re "Late In Arriving",

Old Rockhard City Is Having Such Fun.

Don’t Send Us Again To Old Rockhard City.

Down South By The River and East Just-A-Ways.

"Your Project Is Done!, But Late In Arriving",

"All Project Records Are Now Put Away".
