Intended to invoke positive feelings of faith, happiness and hopeful anticipation in the minds, hearts and emotions of those reading this poem and of those hearing as it is being read to them. All as a way of offering approval and encouragement, to continue anew each day, in contending with the struggles, trials and disappointments encountered in one's personal and work life.

At the same time, to dispell negative feelings of frustration, anger, depression, sadness, hopelessness, uselessness and futility borne of those same struggles, trials and disappointments.

THE SPIRIT

By E. J. T. BRADLEY

The Spirit’s The Voice

Of Our Heavenly Father,

Hand Of Our Brother,

Jesus, The Christ.

The Spirit Watches

Our Struggles And Trials.

The Spirit’s The One

Who Helps Us Do Right.

The Spirit’s The Bearer

Of Good And Bad Tidings,

Vanquishes Darkness,

Brings On The Dawn.

The Spirit Gives Rain,

Then Creates A Rainbow.

The Spirit’s The One

Who Inspired The First Poem.

The Spirit’s The Builder

Of Cities And Highways,

Majestic Mountains

And Thundering Seas.

The Spirit’s The Giver

And Taker Of Blessings.

The Spirit Attends Those,

Who Live Righteously.

Pray For The Spirit And

Blessings He Offers,

Follow The Prompter,

Whenever You’re Called.

In Your Heart And Your Mind,

When The Spirit Dwells In You.

Bow Down Your Head And

Give Thanks To The Lord.

Thank you for your kind and complimentary words. Good to hear.

Why don't you publish your husband's poem, giving him credit of authorship, though on your own Booksie webpage? Or he could open his own Booksie account to do so. Or you could open it for him.

Happy trails,

Ed Bradley.

Let's give all the credit to Our Lord and Savior! Shall we? Who I like to think is the sole source of my inspiration. Though, I know, this cannot always be true. Given some of my output, which goes unposted.

Happy trails,

I simply have to read this at the next Junior Daughters of the King meeting. It being a church group, I think they'll love this poem. I know I do.

You know, I always thought poems had to rhyme to sound good. But, dude...I was soooo wrong. Shows how much I know about poetry. Heh...Oh, well. Great poem. It made me smile and think very strongly of God, and I don't do that very often.
