Tears slowly drip
As blood slowly flows from the wound in my heart
I know, I knew...
From the very start
That things where not to be
But yet I persisted and now things have gone wrong
Now things have changed
Weak now what was strong
I begin to ponder why I insisted
As i feel the life of me trickle away
Slowly drip
As the wound in my heart prays
I bow down to my fate and look up
To speak my final words
To let loose the flow
To sound the chords
With the last breath in me I turn to him
And speak with all the emotion left in me
"but I loved you"
With that I close my eyes
Releasing my soul to allow it
To flow down the river of life
