I swear this is the happiest I've been
In forever,
But it still get so lonely-
I can't explain it.
It seems like as soon as the
Sun sets,
My mind wanders to other places,
All filled with memories that
Should've died a long time ago.
They should be covered
In thick dust,
But instead
I lie awake;
Contemplate,
What could've been,
And what is now.
And I don't mind the situation much
Until the darkness falls.
It is then that I remember my
Longing
To lie next to you.
We're just young and dumb,
But I've always been a dreamer.
Some things never change,
But how I wish they would.
Tell me it won't be like this forever.
This is the happiest I've ever been...
