A poem for anyone who has ever felt heartbreak. This is my suggestion.

For years I've stood there by your side,
Like a lamb to the shepherd's cane.
Yet, now you stand and cast me down;
This faith was all in vain.

Never shall I relent this day
And feed your lusting grin.
From your clutching hand I stray,
And tear away this tattered skin.

From this broken path you've led,
I've found my second life.
Alone in solace I shall tread,
And leave behind my strife.

I've burned right through that paper mask,
And saw you for what you are.
And nevermore shall I take you back,
You infidel, wretched cur.

Stare into these blinding eyes,
And watch as I sever our broken ties.
