Who needs him anyway?

So you’ve made your new year’s resolution

And it doesn’t include me

You said you’ve come to a conclusion

And that’s the way it’s going to be

Well, I hope you’ll be happy

And she’ll love you in ways I apparently can’t

But I bet after you’ve fucked her

You still won’t hold her and chat

And will she put up with all of your bullshit?

And all the lies you so easily tell?

Will she lay there and let you beat her?

While she silently prays you’ll go to hell?

So I’ll leave you with a little reminder

Something from all my emotional scars

That I keep in my mental binder

As I take out my keys to deeply scratch your new car

Sometimes it's a bittersweet feeling to let go of someone from your past, no matter what they have done to you. I can feel the loss, anger, resentment and pain in your writing. Thanks for sharing this. If you have some time feel free to look at some of my work, it might interest you since I've had to let go of someone in my past too. Anyways keep writing, I've found the poems I've read of yours really interesting and impactful.
