I classified this as poetry though I know it lacks the rhythm of true poetry. I could work on that, but I really like the flow as is. It's just something that came to me while daydreaming at work.

Bliss in Death

the darkness fills every corner of the room
its as deep and pure as onyx
scents of alcohol, sex, sweat and blood overwhelm
my eyes see nothing; yet my heart feels everything
somewhere in the pitch black, I know you lie
I can feel the nearness of your soul
my hands yearn to touch you
instead I stumble blindly into yet another wall
blood drips from my palms, just as sweat drips down my back
I refuse to give up until I find you
down on my knees I crawl across the cement
shards of glass tear into my skin
I no longer feel the pain
warmth overtakes me and it feels as if my soul vibrates
you are so close
my hand scrapes against flesh
the flesh is cold and clammy to my touch
yet sparks shoot from my fingertips and I know I have found you
I lay my body across yours
you are still here, but just barely
together we take our final breath
our souls join together into one
together we slip away
everything with you is bliss
death is bliss
