constantly evolving
and now funny to see
that maybe what I was searching for all this time
was right in front of my nose
from my days of baking Mile High Apple Pie
to making Dill Pickles on location at Pickle Peak
I went from cooking at home for four people
to cooking for 15 people at a private and secluded lodge
situated in the heart of Algonquin Park
the beauty that I witnessed each day as I travelled back & forth to work
the writing has been on the wall all this time
I’d spend days making strawberry & blueberry jam
sharing it with whoever would take it
my mind is travelling a million miles per minute
thinking of how much the love of cooking & baking
has been such an integral part of my life
a joyful part of my life
it's a part I've always loved to share with others
its time not to edit
its time to be brave and go after what I really want
I want to be of service
to use the God given gifts I have
the love of cooking & baking
and sharing it with people who are in need
I want to learn culinary secrets in exchange for sharing mine
Herein lies the story of how it began back in 2009
The love that goes into what I’m cooking or baking is the same
except now the ingredients have changed
I’ve left the former entries that I once shared years ago
They’re still really good recipes
however; since I tasted West Indian food
I was determined to learn to cook like that all the time
West Indian food
it's always delicious & finger lick'n good
my life has taken many twists & turns along the way
I’ve been blessed to meet a man, from Trinidad & Tobago
who loved to cook, who loved to share & pass along his secrets
he changed my life
by changing how I prepare & cook my own food
why don’t you come along as I begin to share in my culinary adventures
as I continue to evolve into the woman I'm meant to be
