Bellatrix LeStrange had always been a fiery bitch, her gaze cold as ice as she glared at Nadya in passing. The other woman’s walk was slow, sedate and her pale skin was like a clean page to write on, and write Nadya would. Bella’s long black hair was as tangled as ever and her eyes darkened as she turned to face Nadya.

The door slammed and locked as Nadya cast her first silent spell, the second quicker, the unexpected slap knocking Bella further back even as her clothes fell away. Another slap, then a harsh shove. Bella fought, spitting and hissing like a cat, nothing helped. All too soon the work was done, Bella was tied down.

The knife slicing her skin made Bella howl, the pain breaking her usual icy calm. This was the first of many indignities she’d face. The second was hands, cold, cruel hands forcing her down into the bed as the other woman took possession of the last of Bella’s hard-won innocence.

The pain, as the woman drew her hand out again, then slammed back in made Bella scream out again, the angry pounding at the door making her yowl even worse, desperation evident as she screamed out a name, her word breaking in half. “SERENA…”

The door snapped open as Serena’s spell broke her sisters, The woman, blonde hair coiled back, dragged the red-head away and threw her out, the door slamming and locking again as Serena took in the marks and blood. “She hurt you?”

Nothing. Nothing but crying. This was a new side of Bella, even for Serena. The woman curled tighter now, shivering with the pain. Serena sighed as she smoothed Bella’s hair from her face, her hands gentle as she began to work to heal what she could. “Poor girl.” She murmurs now, tenderly. “Poor Bella.” The softness of the words and touches clearly sooth Bella and the woman eventually sits up, burying her head into Serena’s shoulder, bitterly pained sobs wrenching her thin body even harder than before.

“Shhh, Shhh now.” Serena’s murmurs are still gentle, almost loving. “You’re safe.” She’s cradling Bella even as the woman sobs, doing what she can to sooth the broken being that sits there. “Shh,”  Bella pulls back a little after a long time, her eyes ringed by a painful looking bruise, a bruise already forming there.

“How… why did you come for me?”

“Nadya…” Serena murmurs now. “She’s  a bitch, and you didn’t deserve that.” The look in Serena’s bright, honest brown eyes makes Bella shiver and shift closer again, resting her head back against Serena’s shoulder, the gentle feel of Serena’s arms around her shoulders soothing her further.  Serena’s not exactly an angel, or if she is, she’s a fallen one. Her eyes are kind, and her manner, but she bares many scars on her body, each one left there by Voldemort. She’d taken the whipping for Bella, knowing full well that Voldemort already hated her enough to hurt her, rather than push his warped form of loving onto Bella. He’d cast them out then, leaving Serena to watch as Bella was dragged away to her sister’s home.

Serena had followed, and found her. The thought comes from nowhere. She loves me… A second look at Serena’s face confirms it and she smiles softly. “My saviour.”

“My fallen angel.” Serena murmurs back, leaning to gently seek out Bella’s mouth, not pushing at all, letting Bella dictate the pace. Indeed they don’t do much other than kiss this night, kiss and spoon. Bella sleeps eventually, hair spread behind her, head nestled safely against Serena’s neck, the comfort of warm arms around her wiast keeping the nightmares at bay.
