***IMPORTANT***This is for people who are willing to listen to someone else's views and opinions with minds open ready to receive a different perspective. This isn't meant for a huge argument to break out but for me to express my feelings and views. I am not pushing this on anyone, but I am only writing for those who are willing to hear. So if you are someone who doesn't mind listening to another perspective, keep reading. But if you are someone who just really doesn't agree with me and you have your own views which I respect, I beg of you to just pass this by. I would appreciate it if no one starts to get angry with me and begin to start writing me bad things. But, if you have any questions, feel free to ask without hesitation. I warn you now, I am a 16 year old christian and this is an opinionated writing and I will not sugarcoat things. Please forgive me if I offend anyone for that is not what I am trying to do.

Imagine being seated in a high school or college classroom. Now tell me, if I was to start talking to you about Jesus Christ, by raising your hand, how many of you would become offended? I imagined quite a few. Put your hands down, now if I was to start talking to you about Buddha, how many of you would become offended? I imagined none. Why is that? In a country where we have freedom of speech and religion, why are you so offended when I speak about Christianity? Why not Buddhism? I can tell you why. Right now, there is a spiritual warzone being fought at this very moment. If we could only split the spiritual realm and see the warzone, you'd be terrified. Now who's fighting the war? Your flesh v. your spirit. In the beginning when Adam and Eve took their first bite of the fruit from the tree of life, sin became one with us. Our flesh became sinful therefore, deadly. God's intention for you was perfect. But it was ruined. Now we are seen with a spirit and flesh fighting against each other. Now what does that have to deal with the classroom? Let's go back. Here you are, your natural being full of sin, and then that name pops up. Jesus Christ. Oh no. Your flesh doesn't want to hear about that. Your flesh is sinful, the devil doesn't want to hear anything about Jesus. But deep down your spirit knows full well that Jesus is alive today. So at that moment, a war begins and you don't want to hear about Jesus. But wait a minute. What about Buddha? Your spirit also knows full well that Buddha died long ago and is not a God. So why on earth would your flesh need to fight with your spirit about something they both know is not true?

The reason I am speaking of this is because I am tired of people putting down us Christians. You don't see people putting down any other religion, so why us? Because our sinful nature, that was intended for perfection, doesn't want to hear it when it knows the truth.

Now don't you dare think I'm finished, for I have only just begun.

Why don't we begin with the saying, "God loves everyone." Of course God loves everyone, who ever told you different? God created you, he knew you before you were even born. Why wouldn't he love you? But ah, here comes my perspective.

Imagine yourself a small, young child, running into the street. What is out there in that street? Cars, speeding cars. And what can speeding cars do to little children like you? They can kill. That street is full of death just waiting to happen. So like I said, here you are running into the street. What normally happens by now? Your parents/guardians run out and get you. Why? Because they're trying to protect you. They scold you and spank you and tell you to never do that again. They are correcting your wrongdoings. Why would they do that? Because they love you. Your parents give you rules for your protection, not for harm. They raise you up under their wings teaching you right from wrong so that when the time comes that you are old enough to cross the street, you will know what to do.

God is exactly the same way. God loves you and does so by trying to protect you. He gives you rules and commandments for you to follow so that it can keep your soul safe. When you are raised up in his rules and it's time for you to go out into the world, you will know right from wrong so that you may one day, join him in the everlasting kingdom. But of course, we are only human and no one is perfect. Our lives are not perfect. Just because you give your soul to Christ doesn't mean life will be dandy after that. Yes you now have the ticket for everlasting life, but life on Earth is your test. So believe me when I say, you will have your downfalls. And when you do, God is there to pick you up, out of the street, correct you, and get you back going. That's why he gives you the Ten Commandments. He knows you will fall astray from them but as long as your heart is right, and you're not taking advantage of his mercy, you will be saved from the lake of fire. So stop saying, "God loves everyone." Start saying, "God corrects everyone." But, I warn you now, there is one passage in the Bible that God expects from you to follow without disobeying.

Here comes my next point. Some more sayings I hear from people are, "Well, some of the rules God made was in the beginning of the Bible. They no longer apply since Jesus made the way."

Yes Jesus made the way. Without him, we are nothing but dust floating in the wind! He is the only sinless man who was worthy to shed his blood upon a cross. But that does not mean some of God's rules do not apply today. Imagine this. Water. It comes in three forms. Liquid, solid, and a gas. But yet they are all the same thing are they not? God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one in the same as well. So when Jesus spoke in Matthew 5:17 stating, "Do not think I came to destroy the law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy, but to fulfill," do you not think he has the same mindset as God? God was the same yesterday, he is the same today, and will stay the same forever. He does not change. His word does not change but can be finished.

Earlier in the Bible in the book of Leviticus when God says, "Do not have sexual relations with your father's wife; that would dishonor your father," or ,"Do not have sexual relation with an animal and defile yourself with it...that is perversion," do you really believe Jesus needs to clarify on this? Really, think about it. Sleeping with your mother or an animal, how wrong and sinful is that? No one would dare question that now would we? And do you know what God also say about these things? He also says in Leviticus 18:24-29, "Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people."

Now try to convince me that God would randomly decide one day, why don't I change this one law? I must have messed up. No! I will say it again! God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He never changes! Now here is where everyone likes to say, "They no longer apply since Jesus made the way." Now listen to this, because this is where most of you will start hating on me. In that SAME passage, God says, and I quote from Leviticus 18:22,"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination."

It is as simple as that. It speaks for itself. Yet somehow the world, using her wicked ways, stretches and changes the word of God. Gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transexuals; they are all abominations. This sin is not the same as sinning in the Ten Commandments. These sins are detestable. People don't like to hear the truth and most people would simply stop reading and go on their way. But I am a child of God that stands up for what I believe in and I am sick and tired of this forasken generation. God is coming back soon and if people don't get straight with God, you WILL go to hell and burn for eternity. I will not sugarcoat and say oh, God loves you and I will see you all in heaven. I don't think so. In the minds of every human is the devil speaking to you. He came into this world to steal, kill, and destroy. Don't you dare let him have your soul. We are not worthy to go to heaven, but Jesus made the way. "For God so loved the world the he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life."

And that, my friend, is what it comes down to. If you believe Jesus was the Son of God who came to save us, and that he died on the cross for us, you are saved. How do you know you're saved? You just know. Because all the things you once did that you know in your heart is wrong, you will no longer desire those things. You will suddenly want to know more about God and how much more you can obey him. Believing isn't this huge, complex thing that you need to figure out. It's just simply, choosing to believe. And when you choose to believe, and choose God's path he has for you, life will have a much bigger meaning than you would have ever expected. Just one simple prayer, can save your soul.

And here I am once again. I am not saying Christians are better than anyone else. For we are all the same. We are all sinful natured and are under God's mercy. But I cannot stress this enough. I once heard this saying from a preacher. "God is long suffering, but he is not forever suffering." God has given us this day and age to pick up our cross and follow Jesus. But we do not have eternity. For he is coming back soon.

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord -Joshua 24:15
