Jays Beat Rays Despite Errors

A recap of last night's Toronto/Tampa Bay Game One.

Despite the throwing errors, the Toronto Blue Jays managed to beat the Tampa Bay Rays last night 5-3.

"I'm really proud of my team," said Jay's manager, Charlie Montoyo at last night's postgame press conference.

Rowdy Tellez drove in Vladmir Guerrero Jr. with a double to put the Jay's ahead 1-0 at the top of the first inning.

Later in the inning, Marcus Semien hit a three run homer.

The Rays got back into the game when Randy Arozarena hit a three run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning.

At the top of the sixth inning, Randal Grichuk hit a solo home run.

Semien went two for four at the plate and had three RBIs.

Jay's starting pitcher, Steven Matz, went five innings, allowing five hits, three earned runs, two walks, and struck out seven batters.

Rafael Dolis got the save.

Arozarena went two for four at the plate and had three RBIs.

Ray's starting pitcher, Tyler Glasnow, went six innings, allowing five hits, five earned runs, two walks, and struck out 10 batters.

Game Two is tonight.

Looks like the AL East could be up for grabs. Even Baltimore, which I don't think will win it, will be competitive and not be and easy "w".
