A recap of last night's Boston/Toronto Game One.

The Toronto Blue Jay's bats were hot last night as the team hammered the Boston Red Sox 8-0.

The Blue Jays got their first run in the bottom of the second inning when Danny Jansen drove in Randal Grichuk with a single.

In the bottom of the fourth innning, the Jays went ahead 3-0 when Marcus Semien hit a two run single.

Later in the inning, Bo Bichette drove in Semien with a double.

The Jays went up 5-0 when Lourdes Gurriel Jr. drove in Teoscar Hernandez with a single in the bottom of the fifth inning..

Hernandez, then, drove in Bichette in the bottom of the sixth inning.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Grichuk hit a two run homer,

Gurriel Jr. went three for five at the plate and had a RBI.

Hyun-Jin Ryu had, yet, another good outing.

Jay's starting pitcher, Hyun-Jin Ryu went seven innings, allowing just four hits, no earned runs, no walks, and struck out seven batters.

Jay's manager, Charlie Montoyo, thought Ryu was outstanding on the mound last night.

"He, (Ryu), didn't panic," said Montoyo at last night's postgame press conference.

Red Sox's Alex Verdugo went two for four at the plate last night.

Boston's starting pitcher, Eduardo Rodriguez went five innings, allowing 11 hits, five earned runs, a walk, and struck out six batters.

Game Two is tonight.
