A recap of last night's Washington/Toronto game.

It was a real pitcher's duel at Nationals Park last night as the Toronto Blue Jays lost 4-0 in extra innings to the Washington Nationals.

The good news for the Jays last night was that starting pitcher, Nate Pearson, lived up to the hype that was buzzing before the game.

Pearson went five innings, giving up just two hits, no earned runs, two walks, and struck out five batters.

National's starter, Max Scherzer, played just as good, giving up just three hits, no earned runs, three walks, and struck out 10 batters in 7.1 innings pitched.

Washington scored all four runs in the 10th inning.

Adam Eaton drove in Emilio Bonifacio with an infield single.

Asdrubal Cabera drove in Carter Kieboom, Andrew Stevenson, and Eaton with a triple.

The Jays finish up their home and home series in Washington this afternoon.
