John Gibbons Job In Jeopardy? Not Really

John Gibbon's, (above) , job is not in jeopardy.

The fact that the Toronto Blue Jays have a dismal 51-61 record this season doesn't neccessarly mean that manager, John Gibbons, is on the chopping block.

Jay's general manager, Ross Atkins said the club has no intention of dismissing Gibbons of his duties.

"Our relationship is great," said Atkins.

Atkins believes the struggles the team is having this year is not because of Gibbons.

Atkins said injuries played a huge part of the Blue Jays troubles this year.

Gibbons was re-hired as Jay's manager in 2013 after being fired in 2009.

Gibbon's managed the team to consecutive American League Championship Series in 2015 and 2016.

Gibbon's contract runs through 2019.
