Going into the third period last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs were up 2-1.
Unfortunately, a bad penalty changed everything as the Vancouver Canucks scored three unaswered goals to win 4-2.
"I thought we had an excellent start to the third period," said Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe at the postgame press conference.

Brock Boeser opened the scoring for Vancouver at 4:39 of the first period.
John Tavares tied the game at 15:56.
Toronto out shot the Canucks 15-9 in the first period.
Jimmy Vesey put the Leafs ahead 2-1 at 3:04 of the second period.
"Our second period wasn't good at all," said Keefe.
At 8:49 of the third period, Bo Horvat tied the game.
J.T. Miller put Vancouver ahead 3-2 at 9:31.
Nils Hoglander capped it off with a goal at 16:53.
Vancouver was two for two on the power play.
Both Boeser and Miller had a three point night.
Canuck's goalie, Thatcher Demko had another good night in net, stopping 37 shots.

The Leafs have two days off before hosting the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night.

They still have the most points. But for them to have a successful season, the Leafs need to go to the Stanley Cup, win or lose.
