A recap of last night's Toronto/Boston game,

Boston Red Sox's Alex Verdugo really did some damage to Toronto Blue Jay's pitching last night.

Verdugo hit two home runs in a 5-3 Sox win.

Alex Verdugo hit two home runs last night.

Cavan Biggio hit a lead off home run at the top of the first inning to put the Jay's up 1-0. 

The Sox tied the game in the bottom of the first when Toronto walked in a run.

Toronto's starting pitcher, Tanner Roark, didn't have his groove last night.

Roark went just three innings, giving up three hits, four earned runs, five walks, and struck out a batter.

Verdugo put the Red Sox ahead 2-1 in the bottom of the second inning with a solo home run.

Bo Bichette tied the game at the top of the third inning, doubling in Biggio.

In the bottom of the third, though, Mitch Moreland hit a two run homer to put the Sox ahead again 4-2.

Toronto got a run back at the top of fifth inning when Vladmir Guerrero drove in Rowdy Tellez with a double.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Verdugo hit his second home run of the game.

Moreland went 1 for 3 at the plate and had three RBIs.

Boston's starter, Ryan Weber, went three innings, giving up five hits, two earned runs, two walks and struck out three batters.

Biggio went two for four and had a RBI last night. 

Toronto plays the Red Sox again tonight.
