what is it like to be cast out by all? what is it like to wander alone? what is it like to face the unknown? what is it like to quiver in fear? these things i do not know now, but observe in a child who looked just like me. her golden brwn hair, her shiney green eyes, her once vivacious smile that has been dimmed ever so slightly, then blown out like a wick burning so small aflame. and then people ask, \"why does she cry?\" and then i ask myself, \"why shouldnt i answer?\" is my own pain, reflected by her, so hard to see? or so easy to ignore? and as she cries, she will wallow, and she will try to reconcile with whatever hope that she has left. and do you know what i see? i see a little girl with little hope, rising up again. i see... a girl who looked just like me.
