Here a pretty baby lies,

Sung asleep by lullabies,

pray be quiet and do not stir,

  the easy Earth a'covein' her

gone are the childs Barney sheets,

  playfull hands and mobile feets,

her toy ships no longer grace the dock,

her building blocks stay dusty in the toy box.

  First footsteps are faded away,

just like the blanket on wich she would lay.

here a slight young woman lies,

tired from singing lullabies,

pray be quiet and do not stir,

her long gone childhood watching over her.
