Crashing Out

It’s really kept me on the go,

this rummage through the bins,

and what these people put in them,

it’s set my head to spin.

There’s been all these scraps to munch

but some have been imbued

by liquid out of bottles

that I have gone and chewed.

I’m feeling kind of legless

and my sight is going hazy,

I wish my world would settle down

and stop turning like crazy.

This raccoon has had it for today,

has found a place to hide,

I needed somewhere safe to crash

and regain my pride;

for didn’t I just have to run,

when people, they gave chase,

but even in the state I’m in

I still did win that race.

Give me a few hours and

I’ll be as right as rain,

and when the sun, it starts to set,

I’ll do it all again.
