subtle twilight
wraps the world in shadow.
the sun’s last light
shivers on the waters
where the phoenix sleeps.

azure heavens,
limitless, ethereal,
cloaked in whisp’ring
melodies of summer
far enough away.

selfless spirit,
calm your anxious cries.
lie back and rest
on heaven’s untamed bosom,
forget your weary troubles.

be my master,
nature clothed in light.
speak to me,
let me ever gently
fall into oblivion.
