John Gent is a man of his name and word,

He was love by everyone and adored,

His looks brought tears in every nymph’s eyes,

For in him, true beauty lies.

Perfection he bore with grace,

He and Wealth were greatly praise,

Yet, no one sees the burden his heart bears,

For beauty and gold blinded their care.

John Gent’s heart sings a melancholy song,

He alone sits in his golden throne.

He wished to be loved and love someone,

But maidens walk away from his hand.

Beauty is harsh and wealth is cruel,

A life of imprisonment slowly eats his soul.

He was a good man but imprisoned one,

Everyone only sees him as the Lord of their Land.
