In the world today, it’s almost impossible to find
Another soul that connects to yours compatibly.
Someone who shares your hopes, dreams and ministrations of mind;
The one that seems to compliment you, indisputably.

Euphoric exultation melds with harsh reality,
Offering solace and comfort from morose reverie.
Last shard of hope in the molten cauldron called liberty;
A freedom so profound it humbles irrevocably.

Sadly, two companion souls that burn so veraciously
Can sometimes weld together in a suffocating bind.
What was once considered a haven of sanctuary
Morphs into utter despondence, when one gets left behind.
