How can we go on?
With each pain we look upon,
How do we muster back to our feet,
When we just want to utter defeat?
That want, that desire, that drive,
Which keeps us alive.
Each moment, so much pressure,
And people never try to censor,
Each condition,
People, please just listen.
We’re only so tough,
But gold is a must.
Every flip, turn, twist,
Not one miss,
Flawless and perfection,
And only one direction,
To the top of that podium,
That created what we’ve become.
Days go by and by,
Each day, closer to flying,
And more pain,
Will I go insane?
Only so much in my hands,
While the pain expands,
Longer and farther,
‘Till my heart beats no longer.
The end of my road,
Soon to be echoed,
By an another eager person,
Their life to be stolen,
And replaced by a drive,
That only a gold medal can subside.
