Within a world of darkness

There is a life,

But I am a ghost.

I sleep and I eat,

But the food is bitter and dry

A lot like their love for me.

In the lagoon,

There lie patches of flames,

And insects' nests.

They crawl beneath my skin,

Like parasites,

Poisoning my blood.

They are always there,

Tearing into my womb,

I want to burn them out.

I strike the matches,

And feel the heat within me,

Then my flames begin to die.
