They took your house down now.
I don’t see it anywhere.
There aren’t even pieces to take
to keep hidden of you.
There aren’t any cars there
just a big empty space.
I saw one flower there
and a tear went down my face.
Kayla, do you cry in heaven?
Ginger don’t cry.
You had a soul
the only ginger who did
you were on a roll
you were beautiful.
Kayla Marie, I know you don’t miss me.
But I miss you.
Gym was so lonely.
And your best friend stole my best friend
and now he loves her.
I thought life would never end
until that one day in school when Gabs came to me
sat me down
and set the words free.

Kayla’s dead.

But we still love you
I miss your house
I’ll never see your brother
who is in Montana
because your house is gone
and I can’t see your mother
because she’s with you, too
so I’ll just say
We all miss you.
