A A A

Drifting further into the darkness, my heart is sinking.
My school years coming closer to an end, but now repeating.
The air I breathe is losing it’s life, along with my laughter.
And here I am,
Here I am.
The world is consuming my soul, ripping at my heart.
Who am I even?
The world continues on,forgetting the past. And here I am,
Alone.
Peacefully I watched my dear niece sleep,
Whom has no idea of what lies ahead.
I hold hercloser and begin to cry,
And there I was,
Falling.
I am lowering myself down, drowning myself in my sleep,
Where is the end I am seeking?
I see all my classes for the next semester,
And here I sit,
Crying.
Where time slows to a stop, I shiver and quake;
Because it is here, the end, officially.
Nothing I can do could help.
And next year I will be,
Here, once again.
My final request, is but only this.
Be sure to let my sweetheart, my boo know,
I love him.
And here I am,
Closing my eyes.
And here I am,
Saying goodbyes.
 AND THERE I WAS...
