My joy, my life

my love.

Fitting together

like a hand to a glove.

Her tiny little heart

purring like a cat.

Rolling around

on that baby mat.

Kissing and cooing

from the floor.

With each small action

my heart longs for more.

Her tiny coats

those little dresses.

I love her so much

my heart confesses.

The way she smiles

the way she blinks.

Every gesture

establishing our blood-link.

I pull her up

and into my arms.

Once she's there

I instantly calm.

Our sweet embraces

our sweet kisses.

When we're apart

she's all my heart misses.

When she snuggles into my neck

and when she paws my face.

Her home in my heart

I could never replace.

But does she feel

the same way?

As I put her to bed

at the end of everyday.
