The trees whisper over head

As I walk along the path

The path I've always walked

The path started green and light

But now it's gone dark red

and even the burning sun

that should be stronger than the dead

Is burnt and rejected, killed and spent

Oh now I wish now

That I no longer saw red

That light green would appear up ahead

But that can never happen

For I may be strong

But I am now dead
