One moment.
That was all it took for them to take you away from me.
Why would they do that?
You were all I had left.
Why did they take you away from me?
Why?

"Come on sis, let's go!" my big brother yelled at me from across the yard. I giggled and raced over to him, leaping into his big, open arms.

"I love you." I said, kissing his cheek.

"I love you too sis." he said, a smile forming on his lips. I put my arms around his neck as we started walking toward the tall hill. Looking back at the yard, a shadow passed behind a tree. I tugged my brother's shirt in fear.

"What's wrong?" he asked, sounding concerned.

"I think one of the bad men is following us." I said, seeing another shadow.

"Don't worry sis. I'll protect you. You know that."

I smiled at his words, reassured. I would be okay as long as my brother was with me. I jumped down just as we started walking up the hill, grabbing his hand and walking with him.

"Okay. We're here, sis!" he said, sounding excited. I looked around at the beautiful surroundings.

"It's b-beu..." I struggled to say the word.

"Beautiful." he finished for me, and I shot him a grateful smile.

And it was beautiful. You could see everything from the top of the hill. The ocean, the sunset, the people walking by...another shadow!

I held my brother's hand even tighter and he gave me a strange look. Other than that, he didn't comment.

Now both of us were just standing, watching the beautiful sunset.

Suddenly, a strong gust of wind passed by my hand, and I went to clutch my brother's hand tighter. I froze in terrified shock. His hand wasn't there anymore. I turned to look at where he had been and gasped.

"No." I whispered, kneeling down. There was my brother's body, lying limp and bloody. I saw a hole where his heart should be, and tears started to spill out of my eyes.

"Who did this? Come out! Who are you?!" I screamed, seeing another shadow pass behind a tree.

"Please." I said quietly, grabbing my now dead brother's hand and holding it tightly.

Then, I heard a twig snap behind me and I turned around, knowing what I would see. Even though I knew, it didn't mean that I wouldn't be afraid.

I stared into the eyes of the man that stood before me now, knowing that he was one of the bad men.

Breathing heavily, I stared at him pleadingly as he walked slowly toward me.

Quick as a flash, he had the knife to my neck and I was frozen, afraid to move.

"You're an as...assas..." I struggled to say the word.

"Assassin." he finished for me before slashing my neck and leaving me to die along with my brother.
