A A A

Remember that day when the rain seemed to last forever,

that you cried in bed because mummy won’t let you go out to play.

Those long minutes that you were so hateful to the sky,

asking in your head “why does this always happen to me?”

-

Remember those weeks that just never went on,

that every day you wish the weekend comes,

so you can have more freedom,

so you can finally have a sleep.

-

Remember those winters that lasted forever,

and everyday you walked to school in billions of layers of clothing.

Those days where you felt like you could barely breath,

and then you miss them when it pass.

-

Remember the one you pinky swore with in the playground

that you will be best friends forever and ever.

Those names that now means nothing more to you

than a friend on Facebook.

-

Remember those dogs that ran out of your door,

the ones that you said you would never forget.

The names that you can’t even put a face to anymore,

the ones that you never even think of.

-

Except everything has an ending,

and it's so very hard to accept,

but we never learned to cherish,

until they are the past.

-

I guess we have all learnt to let go,

and break our own promises.

Yet that's a cure to our pains,

instead of missing what has gone.

-

So maybe one day I’ll ask myself

remember that boy that you thought you loved?

The only one that could ever make you feel important?

The one that meant everything to you?

But where is he now?

And does he even matter anymore?
