Eczema (also called contact dermatitis) is a general term for various types of skin conditions describe.

This skin condition is in most cases as having red eczema free forever, itchy rash and burning feeling.

The causes of eczema are a combination of genetic susceptibility (genetic determination) a damaged skin barrier function and immune response to environmental Tiggers. * Triggers are external factors that cause and exacerbate eczema *

With respect to genetic factors, the condition has a link to the chromosome 11 and 13. A child with a parent with AD has a 60 percent chance of developing the disorder, if both parents are affected, the risk rises to 80 percent. Nearly 40 percent of newly diagnosed children with eczema have at least one close relative with atopic dermatitis (AD).

Besides genetic susceptibility AD is the result of a complex inflammatory process involving abnormalities in the skin of the child and the immune system down. Some researchers have found that the skin of people with AD lower levels of fatty acids. The skin loses moisture easily and is more sensitive to chemicals and other irritants.
