Diary of a Wimpy Kid Hard Luck is a book about a kid called Greg Heffley trying to survive middle school. Rowley’s been my best friend ever since he moved into my neighborhood, but things have really changed between us recently. And its all just because of a GIRL.”.  This comedy tells about Greg’s life when he loses his best friend, Rowley, to his new girlfriend, Abigail. Then, Greg has to face making new friends in middle school, which isn't the easiest thing to do. Along with this challenge, he finds a magic 8 ball and lets luck guide his life by using it to make all his decisions, which brings him many problems. Having to balance his annoying family with his middle school social life is very tough for Greg, and this story will tell you about how he finds his way through middle school with hard luck.

Jeff Kinney, the author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, has three siblings, including an older brother and a younger brother, just like Greg Heffley. This makes Jeff understand more about the struggle of having siblings, and he includes his experience about dealing with brothers in his writing.

This entertaining comedy that makes you laugh out loud is a must read. The humor and hook to the plot assures you will never get bored. The funny scenes accompanied with the spot on illustrations make you imagine the storyline perfectly and never want to take your eyes off it. Rated 4.3 by Goodreads, Diary of a Wimpy Kid Hard Luck is more than deserving of its rank.

This book is recommended to anyone that enjoys funny stories that will surely entertain you. Boys and girls can enjoy this book. Although, it’s more directed to children and younger teenagers, around 10-13 years old, because some teenagers like more mature books, and in this case Diary of a Wimpy Kid Hard Luck is not the book for you. Despite that, young teens and children will not be disappointed with this engaging and comic story, and as soon as they're done with this book they will surely be looking for the next.
