Drowning in Ocean Blue Eyes

I'm drowning in your ocean blue eyes,

But you don't know that because I tell you lies,

I'm okay, I'm fine, nothing is wrong,

I should have told you this before,

But I fear I've waited far too long,

So now I suffer in my own lies,

Ever since the day my heart died,

I've been telling you that I'm okay,

But that's not even close to what I want to say,

I want to say I love you and I want to see you smile,

I want to say you're special and that I would travel miles,

Just to see that pretty face with that look I used to see,

That nervous blush and pretty smile that let my heart be free,

I wish you could love me the way I love you,

But I'm lying to mysefl just like I lie to you too,

I'm drowning in your ocean blue eyes,

but you don't know that because I tell you lies,

I'm not okay, I'm not fine, everything is wrong,

I tried to tell myself before that I could be strong,

but I can't and I won't lie to myself any longer,

I'll willfully drown myself your eyes maybe that'll make me stronger,

And I refuse to succumb to this nervous pit in my gut,

There must be something I can do but I don't know what,

So until I find a way to dispose all these lies,

I'll willfully drown myself in your ocean blue eyes.
