When They All Come Around

Why do they ignore me,

Why don't they see,

The happy carefree person that I can be,

I hardly get angry,

and when I do I don't use it,

I'm just the nice guy,

and I wish people wouldn't abuse it,

I have fun with my friends,

which could be any person,

But they don't like who I am,

And so the situation worsens,

Why is it they won't listen when I try to be me,

Is it because I like to hide in shadows,

Or it just the way it's meant to be,

No one truly understands me,

They don't even try,

And the question I always find myself asking is a plain and simple why,

Why do they not like me,

Why do they find me strange,

I don't see how it matters if stick to my own ways,

But my ways seem to bother them,

It's like my inovative mind,

Is too much for them to handle,

So they spread rumors and lies,

To make me feel like I am worthless,

So much more than before,

I don't see what I've done wrong,

It's like they me to be more,

More than just me,

More than a man,

And less than I can be,

If I make a stand,

So that's what I'll do,

Here and now they'll all see,

They will realize the greater man I can be,

If the would just see me,

For who I really am,

It would give them a shock,

They'll see I'm my own man!
