My mind is like a steamy window
I have a world of thoughts on the other side
But I have to work so hard to make them clear to those inside
Every once and awhile I can run my fingers across the window
And clear up enough to make out a couple details
But it steams up shortly after
Everything behind it is a full of blurry details
I can sit and stare
I can hear the busyness on the other side
But my mind concentrates on the single drop of water
As it slowly walks down the window.
I always wonder what it would be like to actually listen to some one talk
Not just hear their voices
Then later put their conversation together like a jigsaw puzzle
I’m not ignoring you
I am trying to listen
I just have to wait for the light to shine through my steamy window

Rose Bouquet
Wow, my son has this, so the poem helped me understand what he must feel like.
