Why do you hate
I love you so much
That yellow roses
Grow in my heart
And I pick them each day
For you because
I’m frantically trying
To show you
It is possible to be loved.
Every single cell
In my body
Is devoted to loving you,
Yet you never let me
Whisper in your ear
The 1,001 reasons why
I couldn’t live my life without
You look at that stone body of yours
And try to chisel away all
Your supposed imperfections.
Eventually you’re going to
Crumble into a pile of dust.
I’m no master sculptor
But let me guide your hand
And I’ll make you see that
You’re the most beautiful thing
This world has ever seen.
