I was sitting in math class
?trying to find the velocity?
of a ball?falling off a building?
100 feet high.?
But when am I?
ever going to have to worry abut that??
Don’t they know
?I’m terrified of heights?

??I’m never going to have to
?find the speed of a?
dropped ball?
(a bowling ball? a bouncy ball??
does it even really matter?)?
but?
what about the velocity?
of the thoughts running through my mind??
They pound on my brain
?like the angry feet of
?rioting civilians,?
running in despair,
running in anger,
running,running,runnning.??

They are going so fast.?
And my head hurts so much,?
and all I really want to know
?is the velocity?of my drooping eyes
?and how long it will be?
until I finally fall asleep.
