Im writing to discuss some rather odd similarities between the book Eragon and the Star Wars movies.
Ok, follow me on this. In the end, try to guees if Im summerizing Eragon or Star Wars.
"Thier was once a knight like order whos members had super human abilities, called (Jedi/ Dragonriders). They defended good and justice, until they were destroyed by one of their own members, whos name was (Darth Vader/Galbatorix). This person then set up a massive, tyronical kingdom, headed by him. The kingdom was called (Now get this) The Empire. Eventaully,a boy named (Luke/Eragon) found out that he was apart of this ancient colture, and, shortly having his family killed, set out to kill the Emperer. He then found a old survivore of said knightly order, named (Ben/Bromir) who knew the Emperer personally. He tought the young boy the old ways of (Jedi/Dragonriders), but the mentor was eventually killed. The boy, who now knows he is more powerfull then most (Jedi/Dragonriders) goes to another survivore, named (Yoda/Oromis) to recieve more intensive training.
Thats about as far as the Eragon books go, but you get my point.

Wed, May 20th, 2009 2:16amtrue, but not all work is an original mastermind. that doesn't mean it's not good, and it's not like they switched names around either. everything sounds the same when different things are created if you understand
Sat, June 13th, 2009 5:25pmyes but the Star Wars movies where based of a book that was based off a dif book and so on + there is alot of stuff in Eragon thats not in the Star Wars movies. also the last 2 books where nothing like the Star Wars movies.
sorry i dont mean 2 sound mean i just dont think they are all that much alike however everything you said is true
Holy cow! Yes!! Now I see it! The first book is pretty similar!! But the third and second aren't! Anyway, wow! I just realized this!
Tue, August 18th, 2009 11:12amOKay that may be true, but I still love The Inheritance Series
Sat, August 22nd, 2009 4:57amThe Inheritance cycle is still good, even if it was based on Star Wars
Sat, August 29th, 2009 9:18pmI don't think they are coincedental. The main storyline is quite... original. If you find the right books, you find that a lot of stories have similiar storylines. Don't get me wrong, I love the inheritance cycle. Just make a list of all the things that are different.. then you can see if they are totally similiar.
