Upon the night of October 5th a cold wind blew the trees
The sky was clear the stars were bright and Victor walked the streets
He peered into the window of the small cafe downtown
Where the teenage couple had just walked in and sat down
The girl had skin so fair and fine and eyes that shown bright blue
Her hair was blonde her presence subtle her smile shown untrue
The boy that sat beside her, he was gazing at the wall
It seemed at least to Victor he did not love her at all
For the boy outside the window had been for quite some time
Infatuated by the girl sitting on the other side
And for sometime he had a plan implanted in his head
And tonight was the night he planned to put it in effect
When the date was over and her boyfriend drove her home
He would sneak over to his house and get him while alone
The knife inside his pocket shone in the moonlight
When he held it in his hand he knew this was the night
Once the boyfriend was gone he could have her to himself
He would never have to share her love with anybody else
And with this brilliant thought in mind he glanced over at them
They were halfway out the back and having almost left
He cut across the alleyways and reached the boyfriends house
He broke in through the window and behind his bed he crouched
A half an hour later he had stepped in and shut the door
Got undressed and tossed his keys and wallet to the floor
Got in bed then after reading drifted, shut his eyes
Fell asleep quite quickly didn’t know of the boy outside
Victor snuck into the house, went in there and crouched down
Leaned over the boy in bed and pulled the gleaming knife out

A few days passed the young man saw the girl whom he so loved
Claimed to her his deep remorse and asked her how she was
He cared for her in such a way that of course she loved him too
And so for very many years they were together through and through
