White Rectangles by Euphoric Tangled

There was I

Sitting on my chair

Right in front of my desk

My heart beating in my chest

There was her

Sitting uptight

Right in front of her screen

Her voice wanting to scream

Jealousy invaded her veins

Venom invaded my mind

The irreconcilable act

Kept blowing us apart

I begged no more lies

She said I must hide

I replied the white rectangles will tell

No matter how hard you try

I am leaving now

Lucky you that can, she said

That choice is not mine

The white rectangles again

They keep me tied

There is always a way, I said

And if you can't walk away

It's because for you is all right

The white rectangles

Cashed their toll in your life
