An elderly man has sleeping problems, but it only gets worse from here.

An elderly man had trouble with insomnia. He could barely get to sleep at night. When he was able to sleep, he would not be able to stay asleep. He felt this was a matter that deserved to be taken to medical authority, so he visited a doctor about it. The doctor told him to stare at something that could be perceived as relaxing, and that would do the trick; however, if it didn’t work, then the doctor prescribed some sleeping medicine. The elderly man decided to give it a try.

When it was time for bed, he peered out his bedroom window to see two streetlights. He actually found them relaxing and got to sleep without a problem. He woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and ready to have a productive day.

The second night, he stared at the same streetlights again until he slowly drifted into the dream world. Once again, he managed to get a refreshing night’s rest and start to another day. However, when he took a peek out the window to see what the lights looked like during the daytime, they were not there. He grew closer to the window, and the two streetlights that seemed the answer to his insomnia were nowhere to be found. As he was searching around, something peculiar caught his eyes. There were scratch marks on the window sill, as if something was perched there, watching him sleep at night. This made his insomnia come straight back tenfold.

Yes, indeed. This is why I always keep my blinds and curtains shut.
