Running through the dead of night

Waving around my flashlight

Running through the dark

Feeling the horrid pounding of my heart

I've been collecting these pages

That everyone throughout the ages

Hath tried but hath yet to succeed

Most couldn't even begin to flee

The haunting presence

The terrifying essence

I see the man with no face

Frightened, I pick up my pace

He's coming for me with astonishing speed

How can a man be faster than a steed?

Sprinting over the fence

My, oh my, this is intense!

Suddenly, he grows whiplike extensions

What the hell, is he from another dimension?

Intertwined, I've become

Under his grasp, I've succumbed

No one can hear my muffled cries

As he snatches me right before my very eyes

The suited man without a face

Hath forever halted my pace
