We took a bus to Glasgow

as I promised that I would

I knew it would be tough

but I did the best I could

I slept upright in a comfortless chair

and in the morning we were there

it felt like night

and the air was cold

in Buchanan station we were told

Into the ladies for a quick tooth brush

clothes in the locker

no one made a fuss

Walking through Glasgow

On a Saturday night

people dressed up

and laughting a lot

by Midnight tonight

They'll be drunk

We sat in Macdonalds

Waiting for our bus

not causing a scene

or making a fuss

Then back on the night bus at half past ten

back again in london

and almost home again
