I came across a photo,
of what you used to be,
so beautiful, so lovely, so kind

I came across a memory,
Of dancing in the rain,
You wearing my shorts and my shirt, reaching your knees,
finding our way through the city in the sunlight

I remember you well my old friend
And the thing that we had

I came across an other,
of a girl with blonde hair,
a will of pure iron and a courage I craved.

I've seen pictures of her in the halls where we raved.
I like to remember her for what she was,
and I hope she does the same

And I came across a photo of a boy in bright clothes,
his witty behavior and a smile that glowed,
those clothes are now wasted and that smile has dulled.

These aren't just memories,
that haunt me today,
they grab me from time to time and they won't go away.

And we may not be friends, and we may have some grudges,
But its not that I hate you,
No I don't anymore,
I just can't take these changes, from the people I adore.
