Experimental Writing presents the winners of Experimental Challenge: Test Subjects. Get ready to receive your prizes.

Task: The poem or short story must describe a certain THING or PERSON being tested or analyzed on.

Fourth Prize: YamiRyuu for submitting the writing piece, Pure Hatred.

Pure Hatred (Short Story) – In a small, isolated community, twins, Lucia and Melanie, find themselves in the midst of an experiment that would inevitably result in a fight for survival. Pure Hatred was wonderfully written and did not ease off on needed details and descriptions that would envelope the reader into a world of friendship, horror, and betrayal. Thank you YamiRyuu for writing Pure Hatred for Experimental Challenge: Test Subjects.

Third Prize: Jazzie for submitting the writing piece, Beaten.

Beaten (Poem) – As the entity of love and romance lingers over two individuals of different backgrounds, a spectator analyzes the persons’ fight to become close. Though, as the male, of the two, is scarred by multiple beatings from his elder, his confidence and determination to create a relationship with the female slowly deteriorates. Beaten held its ground as a very creative piece or poetry. Filled with consistent rhyme scheme and analytical thoughts by the spectator, Beaten finds itself being praised by many. Thank you Jazzie for writing Beaten for Experimental Challenge: Test Subjects.

Second Prize: SummerNGT for submitting the writing piece, Mindtrap.

Mindtrap (Short Story) – A peculiar individual heads to the local clinic in order to treat an infection, though, he finds himself being accepted into an experiment that would psychologically busy the human mind. Mindtrap followed the path of analyzing many situations; written in a prose that would doubtlessly facilitate the reader’s captivation for the short story, Mindtrap served as an interesting and satisfying read. Thank you SummerNGT for writing Mindtrap for Experimental Challenge: Test Subjects.

First Prize: kittyx3jane for submitting the writing piece, An Observation.

An Observation (Poem) – As one quietly observes two individuals who seem to be locked in an embrace, the spectator intermittently analyzes the simple yet ethereal scene. Consisting of vivid descriptions and psychological studies of human sentiments, An Observation realizes a blend of creativity and philosophy in a piece of poetry. Readers are given personal serenity as poetic words and phrases come to life to warm their metaphorical souls. Thank you kittyx3jane for writing An Observation for Experimental Challenge: Test Subjects.
