I don't know where these come from.

i'm just glad they do.

The Carousel

A carousel of fear and hate, you ride these fears with mouth agape.

With wanderlust you tarry on, making me your battered pawn.

Can you feel with that cold heart? With added heat, will beating start?

Or will you sit, alone and proud, don necklaced souls that scream aloud.

You are not love, but hate its self. You do not fear, you've never felt. I cannot hide this buried song. These feelings felt you've known so long.

I burst out, and make a scene, but you're not there, it was a dream.

These thoughts you bring, i want to scream! Vile, twisted, imaginings.

I fight them off, as i always have. Can't you see you drive me mad?

Yet here you sit, alone and proud. You know full well i'm in the ground.

Wow. "You know full well I'm in the ground." For some reason that has such a lasting impression on me. First off, the rhythm is nice to follow; it gives the poetry a sing-song feel to it. Secondly, you paint such a vivid, complex image with everything you say - the conflicting ideals of laughter and carefree happiness, as manifested by the idea of the carousel itself and the sing-song feel given by the rhythm contradicting the dark, bitter emotions you convey through excellent diction.

Excellent work, as always. :)
