NEWS COMING TO YOU LIFE FROM EXCELLENT MEN’S STATION, ABIA PROVINCE 3, UMUAHIA

PRESENTED ON THE OCCATION OF THE THANKS GIVING SERVICE OF THE EXCELLENT MEN ABIA PROVINCE 3 (13/11/2011).

Here are the headlines of the news:

1. Men have been urged to love their wives even as Christ loved the church and gave up His live for her.

2. Women have been urged to be submissive to their husbands in order to attract more of their love.

3. Today marks the climax of the excellent men’s convention.

To bring the details of the news to you is your brother: Ezinna Lucky Efurumibe (Ngozi). Now the news in detail:

The excellent men’s convention which started Thursday the 10th day of November, 2011 comes to a close today with a thanks giving service by the men. Within the period of the convention many families were blessed, marriages revived and many new things learnt. Some of the things learnt include:  “how spouses should treat one another in order to promote a healthy relationship”. Men were encouraged to love their wives even as Christ loved the church and gave up His life for her. The women on their part were urged to be submissive to their husbands in order to win more of their love.

During the couples’ outing held on Saturday the 12th day of November, 2011 (that is yesterday), certain questions were posed for the men and their wives. Such questions include (for the men):

(i) What are the annoying things that women do?

(ii)  What changes would you like to see in your wife?

(iii) What makes a man happy with his wife?

For the women the following questions were posed:

(i) What are the things that women suffer?

(ii) What changes would you like to see in your husband?

(iii) What strange things are creeping into your relationship?

In response, the men who were grouped according to their years of marriage (between 1 and 10 year, 11 and 20 year and 22 years and above) responded thus:

To the first question they answered that:

- women are full of nagging, gossiping, etc.

- they easily suspect their husbands, deny sex to them as a weapon for obtaining something from them.

The men also pointed out that the women are not fully detached from their parents and siblings as these ones still have influence in their marriages.

In response to these, the presenter: Prof. Ndirika urged the women to repent from these attitudes.

On the other hand, the women responded to some of the questions posed to them in the following way:

-They said that at times they feel unsecured in their homes.

-That the men seem to dominate in decision making and in other issues.

-That the men do not give them enough time.

-That their husbands hardly take them out.

In response the seminar presenter: Prof. Ndirika asked the men to repent from these attitudes for the good health of their marriages.

It is believed that all these when put into practice, would have positive impact in our marriages.

Youths

Youths are advised to always seek the face of God when making marriage plans to avoid making mistakes. And as they do so, they should keep their eyes open so that their God–provided partner will not pass them by. In other words, they should pray and watch.

Parishes

Some of the parishes visited by men in Ikwuano and other areas within Umuahia were in bad shapes. These visitations were made during the period of preparation for the convention. The men observed that some of those parishes (example is the one in Ariam in Ikwuano LGA) were either having licking roofs or without pastors. Some of them with pastors are not following the Redeem pattern of worship, according to information gathered. The PP and other pastors are therefore called upon to pay visits to some of these parishes and ask God for the way forward. It was also suggested that subsequent Go-a-Fishings be held in such areas with parishes having such challenges in order to beef them up.

Pastors

Pastors are advised to be more spiritual and less materialistic. This is so that they do not leave out the in-thing and start pursuing shadow. In a statement, one of the men said that he has observed that the in-thing now is competition amongst pastors on who rides the highest car in the market. He advised that pastors should not allow pleasures to distract them from the main thing God has called them to do- which is to preach the message of salvation to the lost souls.

To end this news here are the headlines once again:

1. Men have been urged to love their wives even as Christ loved the church and gave up His live for her.

2. Women have been urged to be submissive to their husbands in order to attract more of their love.

3. Today marks the climax of the Excellent men’s convention.

It has been your brother: Ezinna Lucky Efurumibe (Ngozi) reporting from Excellent men’s station, Abia Province 3, Umuahia.

Remain Blessed!
