I was inspired to write this poem after one of my friends described me as an onion with many layers.

This task requires attention to detail.

Do not be afraid to undercover the mystery beyond each layer.

The first layer symbolizes my protection.

It activates many lacrimal glands.

The second layer symbolizes my creativity.

Some of them rhyme.

Some of them evoke happiness.

Some of them require thought.

The third layer symbolizes my personality.

Some days I have the tranquility and wisdom of a dove.

Other days I am my predator’s prey.

However, most of the time I am like a monkey dancing in the trees.

The fourth layer symbolizes my vulnerability.

Some days I feel I should pounce on the opposite sex to pursue my happiness.

Some days I have the courage of a lion.

Other days I have am fragile like glass.

The final layer symbolizes my perseverance.

My brain hungers for more knowledge.

My lungs welcome molecules of oxygen filled with desire

My heart pumps blood containing ambition and adoration.

The onion has been peeled.

If you like flavor in your meals add me to your new dish.

If you like bitterness you peeled the wrong onion.
